I’d honestly prefer living in Alaska, far away from people, but here I am doing bioinformatics research—specifically on Locally Consistent Parsing (LCP), a sketching technique for massive genomic datasets. People call me LCP_mom (don’t ask), probably because I’ve somehow mastered it. Research might not be my dream, but I’m good at it. When I’m not unraveling genomes, I’m a TA surviving endless grading and questions with a mix of sarcasm and surprising efficiency.
